About Me

I am a writer lucky to be living in the eastern suburbs of beautiful Adelaide in a tree-lined street with distant views all the way to the ocean.

Born and raised in windy Wellington, New Zealand, I moved to Australia in 1989. Adelaide is a city that has stolen my heart and never given it back. I am very happy to be an Australian citizen, but I will always barrack for the All Blacks first and the Wallabies second.

I have been writing for many years, beginning with sports articles for my local paper at just 16 years of age. I didn’t write for a long time after leaving school, finding that I enjoyed life working in a few interesting jobs such as the Chilean Embassy (Wellington) and the Director of Public Prosecutions (Adelaide).

After the birth of my second child I returned to writing, venturing into short stories where I won a number of competitions and published several short stories. An interest in children’s literacy led me to writing fiction for middle grade children and I published two chapter books.

In 2015 I decided to diversify into writing feature articles for magazine and newspaper, content and copywriting for businesses especially real estate, and proof-reading and editing anything for anybody. Finally I have found where my real passion lies!
